I am Gabriel, an Artist-Researcher.

For over two decades, my professional trajectory has developed at the intersection of contemporary art, research, audiovisual production, and education.

My academic background began at the Faculty of Art of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), later complemented by studies in Sound Engineering and Audiovisual Production. I expanded my practice through international specializations focused on composition, sound improvisation, philosophy of creation, and contemporary interdisciplinary practices across Amsterdam, London, Prague, and Lisbon. I am a member of the international Performance Philosophy network and co-founder of the State of Encounter project.

Throughout these years, I have developed projects across film, performing arts, sound, and contemporary creation through diverse territories: artistic residencies, research circles, creative labs, education, and community-driven initiatives.

Parallel to this, I built a career in post-production within the audiovisual industry, contributing to major productions and various independent media houses.

Between 2016 and 2019, I also served as Head of Post-Production for the children’s programming block at TVPerú’s cultural channel, Canal iPe (IRTP – Ministry of Culture of Peru). During this period, our projects earned international accolades and recognitions, including TAL Awards (2019), FAN Chile (2018, 2017, 2016), and the Comkids & Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano Festival (2017), as well as official selections at INPUT TV Greece (2017) and special recognition from UNICEF for social relevance and content quality.

My work has also been deeply tied to educational and social development initiatives serving vulnerable communities, people with disabilities, and youth—using creative practice as a medium for civic participation, dialogue, and social transformation.

Currently, my research focuses on the relationships between technology, memory, presence, and the contemporary image—exploring how audiovisual tools transform forms of intimacy, observation, and the human experience within an increasingly camera-mediated digital world.
